Sorry about that. I did try to search but now that i know what the issue is i can find the older posts. When i didn't know what was going on i couldn't come up with the right keywords too look for. I'm hopping there is enough in this thread for the next person to be able to find it.

Please do not encourage folks not to search before posting. I do it and so should any responsible member imo. At the very least it may help to refine the question to be posted.
Having said that I know from my experience that search function on these boards sometimes suck and folks have to reach out to others. Great resource here.
NB: I was not busting ***** w op, just stating a fact and suggesting that since Ed in NJ found my answer helpful he could pass it on in the future. I was dead serious about that. Or perhaps you'd do the honors.

I'd have to agree that the search function on this site is not particularly effective. If there were an easy was to search, I'm sure a lot more people would avail themselves more I include myself in that group. It would help if the posts were arranged topically, but it still wouldn't eliminate the issue. Instead, we need to glean old posts out of an undifferentiated database.
I suggest that until the search function is improved, that if we know where, or even if, a problem were addressed before, we simply advise that to whoever posts with such a problem. Simple.

Sure. I am reminded of a post on the E46 forum years ago. Someone asked "Is it just me or does this board seem to be repeating itself?" I don't think most of us mind working a little to find out what is already out there.

This has nothing to do with 4wd and is no reason to be sold new tires. All 997's will "push" the front wheels if you crank it too hard from a start or at low speeds. The steering angle under those conditions (it is worse in the cold when traction is less) is too acute (wheel turned too far) causing the tires to slip on the road and the suspension to pogo as the tires skid rather than roll. The "cure" is to familiarize yourself with the steering feel and reduce steering input (counter steer) as you feel the front start to plow on the road. This is one of the few things of which you can say: they all do it".
That's correct. My C4s did it and my turbo does as well.
