Fabspeed muffler bypass, review
Well I have bad news, I took the car out with the boys today for a little spirited drive, and found out it is way slower than before, and it will not rev to redline. I guess the back pressure is too much and it is hurting performance.
I have not given up yet, I plan on removing them and modifying them by cutting out some more channels for the exhaust gas to bypass through. This may be a lost cause

In theory the lack of back pressure give you more torque at high rpm but you lose it at low rpm. More back pressure in the exhaust gives you the reverse. Interestingly, if the bypass + 3 disk insert is louder than pse, how can it be more restrictive?
Really interesting. Love the idea of running the bypass pipes, with a way to add some backpressure and reduce drone, this could be terrific for a step louder than typical hack. I ran the bypass pipes for a while, but they were just ridiculously loud - too loud for the suburbs and way too loud for my parking garage at work - a throttle blip would set off other cars' alarms :-)
