Please shop around for the Fidelity warranty. I bought it for about 60% of what Porsche wanted to sell it to me buy calling around and finally buying from a Chevrolet dealership. Lots of profit in this item. The other big deal was the current mileage, I think the big price break comes with cars with less than 10K miles on them. So don't wait to long to look for a warranty depending upon your mileage.
You can purchase a Fidelity warranty anywhere for your Porsche ( Porsche dealer, MB dealer, Toyota dealer, Honda dealer, etc.). Note that the price will be higher if your original warranty is over or you have more than 10K miles.
I know I posted this before but at 40,000 miles, I was quoted for a C4S about $2,000.00 per year.
I haven't had warranty for over 2 yrs now (@ 70,000 miles) and no major issues -- knock on wood!

Be aware that there is typically a 100% markup on aftermarket warranties. The prices are typically negotiable, even if they're printed up on a price list. I don't know that to be the case with Fidelity specifically, but it is true generally.
Before I sold my BMW 650i last year, the local dealer quoted me $4000 for the regular warranty, and an additional $4000 for the maintenance warranty. As I recall, both were for 3 years/36,000 miles with $100 deductible. I passed. If I was going to have high maintenance costs, I might as well go back to a Porsche. When I got my 997, I bought a 2-year/26,000 mile warranty from GWC Warranty for $3,800, for which the [indy] dealer paid half. I ended up suing them after they refused to fully pay a major claim. I was skeptical getting an aftermarket warranty in the first place, but now, I would never get one again.
Keep in mind that these are not insurance companies. They are not subject to the same consumer protections required of insurance companies. I've heard good things about Fidelity, and hope they're different. Make sure you read the entire policy very carefully. Most do not pay for sales tax, fasteners, and other oddities that can really increase the cost of a major repair. They are entitled to inspect the vehicle, which can add weeks to a repair. Just make sure you're eyes are wide open before you commit, and make sure you're getting the protection you think you're buying.
