Just "Dconned" my engine compartment
posted last week O2 sensor lite on, checked engine compartment, drivers side mice had eaten thru 1 sensor wire assembly and halfway thru other one. they left their calling cards(poopies)
dealer says common in our rural locale..sugeested I put Dcon near the infraction and possibly sticky strips in there too. no signs of mice where car is parked

Home Depot carries some traps that electrocute mice after baiting them into a small tunnel using peanut butter butter as an attractant. No poisons or dangerous spring-loaded pieces. I use that since I worry about our miniature dachshund, but he doesn't mess with it. He would only get a small jolt on the chance he could get his snout in far enough, but I don't think he could. The batteries last a very long time.
See that stuff at work, telecoms, but never in my 911. Never even thought about mice, winter stored a 993 in Illinois, but then again it was an attached garage in a populated community.
