has anybody gone from 996 c4s to 997s? thoughts?

Not a c4s but I went from a 996tt to 997S. Cannot be happier for the change.

 

what differences have you noticed?

 

The 997S has slightly less power than the tt but in every other aspects it is superior.
Better suspension, interior, engine sound, etc, etc. You should simply take a test drive at the dealership and see for yourself.

 

You made a big step back getting rid of your tt for an S. You are gonna regret it..

 

The 996 C4S is a great car, providing you're not looking for great handling: it understeers like a pig.

You will find the move to a 997S shocking in the improvement you get in handling.

In terms of performance the 3.8 is clearly faster than the 3.6, not least because you don't have to carry around redundant awd stuff.

The car is also better made inside - the 996 looks like it was made by Kia in comparison.

The best decision I made was to go from C4S to C2S. I wouldn't change my mind even if you paid me.
