3POINT8 is infamous around these parts
just got back. time of my life!!!! just about every car in town was a Porsche. saw everything. great museum hard not to buy a new one across the street. couldn't believe they had a 918 in the museum you could walk right up too no velvet rope or anything. we dropped by the v8 motel and their museum/showroom is wild. all sorts of 911s, tons of Ferraris (enzo, F40, etc.) old jags, fords tons of bentlys, aventors, galleraldos the long hooded mercedees deal. wow! thanks for all the tips guys really helped me maximize the trip.

favorite part: me going 200 km/hr on the autobahn in a rented mini van and being past at warp speed by a black 911. classic!

I visited again in the fall of 2014 and I was told that factory tours are now possible and open to the public with advanced ticket purchase. Keep in mind that the museum is not open on Mondays when you make your plans.

I highly recommend visiting the Porsche Museum and the Delivery Center. I also recommend renting a Porsche 911 at Avis in Stuttgart and enjoying the unlimited speed sections of the Autobahn!
A good idea but make sure you understand and strictly abide by the driving rules to avoid dangerous situations. The other drivers around you simply assume that you will be predictable.

jealous that you got to drive a 911 through Switzerland. we drove (a minivan) all around the alps and into Austria as well and it was incredible.

Absolutely! Understanding local laws and etiquette is important.
