Btw, unsure about this but I do recall that the car was intermittently sluggish accelerating from dead stop before the AOS died. Not sure if it was coincidence.

I don't want to yell that the sky is falling but as you can see from the pic, that thin rubber diaphragm will tear. It's just a question of when. I also suspect that aggressive driving style and heat will determine the lifespan of that rubber diaphragm.

 

Cab... I DID not replace the Alt cable. My main issue was the moll OEM battery, which I replaced with the walmart platinum .


Id rather be safe than sorry with these AOS'.... why I just chose to perform the repair before it got bad. ive never felt the need/desire to perform maintenance BEFORE something breaks on any other car ive owned cept this one.


So cheap just doing it ones self not to.

 

which parts did you get?
their is a few aos?? I am doing ipd and plenum mod so might as well do the aos but wondering what to buy. its 08c2s

 

Interesting. I never knew about the secondary one. The one that broke and I replaced was the primary one.

 

My 08 4S uses Porsche PN 997 107 038 00. Suncoast parts or your favorite supplier.
