Interesting. I guess the sound is produced at a higher volume when the opening is completely restricted...

I may take a look at my non-S tonight.

I took a look at mine last night.... I didn't have anything that size to block it with. I may look again today and see what it does, if anything.

I could be mistaken but there was a thread in this years back and I used the top off a Castrol oil bottle and it fit perfect, sont know if it qt. size or gallon, im guess gallon

Quart will work too. Castrol has larger diameter caps. I have had one on my car for about 1 yr. Its a little louder and better yet was free.
