running the engine with MAF disconnected?
Hello, Sixspeeders
911 is always my dream car and I just finally got an 07' C2 after years of hard work. It's been a wonderful week but after a couple of rainy days she starts making ringing noise. I suspect one of the pulleys might causing it. Do you know if I can run the engine with the air filter box remove ie. MAF sensor disconnected to gain better access to the pulleys?

You can and I even did so today. I find that when I do it, I have to give the car a little bit of gas for the first few seconds of starting it but just a little bit so it won't stall then the ECU will adapt to a baseline and idle just fine.
