Added a new "PORSCHE" emblem to the rear spoiler/wing. But I can't decide if it's more of a "clean" style without it, or if I shall keep it and perhaps let it grow on me a little. Because I'm not really pleased with it on as it is right now to be honest.
What do you guys think?

With kind regards, Jonathan.

I think you answered your question. I say take it off & just put the 911 instead. Why copy the 991. Not my cup of tea, but that's just me.
I think your intuition is right. Your car seems aggressively sporty without it. Something about the big shiny lettering makes it feel less so and introduces more of a sports-touring feel.
I agree with Mk2CS that a simple 911 logo would feel cleaner, or with your wing, you could also get along without any logo if you wished.

I think most folks on boards like 6speed and Rennlist will probably lean toward keeping the 991 badging OFF of the 997 because it has a "poser" or artificial feel to it. But to the vast majority of 911 owners and all others who simply admire the car, I suspect that having the logo PORSCHE on a 997 car is perfectly appropriate and indeed makes more sense than having "Carerra", a name the non-enthusiast often doesn't even recognize.
So, this is a long-winded way of saying do what you like with your car without regard to others. For me, I like the PORSCHE emblem on your car... and on mine!

I agree too (put the 911 on it). It reminds me off people who put the fake vents on the front fenders to make their SUV's look like the last model escalade.

I've had Porsche spelled out of the deck lid of my 997 since 2007 and like member GBG feel it looks better than the titanium colored "Carrera" that was original. Porsche obviously felt the same way when they released the 991.
I think the PORSCHE script looks good on 997's without a wing because there's enough space on the deck lid that it doesn't look disproportionate. On your car it just looks too large for the decklid. I'd suggest the "911" badge and call it a day.
As the Romans would say, "De gustibus non est disputandum." In other words, there's no arguing over taste (what you like) as there is no right or wrong answer. If you like it, do it; if you don't like it, don't do it. There's a reason Porsche's come in a host of colors, interiors, transmissions, etc.--not everyone likes the same thing. So stop worrying about what anyone thinks--do what YOU like. Personally, I like the PORSCHE letters (and nothing else)...but then, my avatar suggests I may be a little biased...
