Converting a steering wheel from PDK to Manual

I just got a good deal on a PDK steering wheel and airbag from a 2009, and I want to use it in my 997.1 manual car. I plan to disassemble the wheel and take out the PDK push bottons. Does anyone know where I can get the airbag surround trim piece without the holes for the PDK push buttons? Carbon would be nice, but I'd consider plain plastic as well. Also, how would I fill the space left from the pushbuttons on the back side?

Start here, scroll down to the bottom for a manual, and find the part number for what you need. Then price shop the various online stores with that part number:

http://www.gaudinporscheparts.com/au...-and-trim-scat

or here:

http://www.autoatlanta.com/porsche-p...section=403-05

In both cases, the I480 code means manual transmission.

Thanks for the reply. It looks like the piece on the front is more than just a trim piece...it's an expensive module. I'll have to see if anyone makes a cover for it.

Thanks! I almost made the guy an offer, but I still have no way of filling the holes on the backside left from the PDK buttons, so I think I'm just going to throw the wheel up on ebay. I'll keep the airbag and put it in a manual wheel.
