Funny M5 Story...A hole dealer....

Went to harloff BMW here in San Diego today. 3 M5's on showroom floor.

Sticker had 30,000 "California Market adjustment" added to list price of $88665...

Dealer said that you have to strike a deal acceptable to the delaer in order to drive one.....What a jackass. I said how can I know if I want one if I've never driven one? He said that they are just so hot that they don't let anyone just stop bye and drive one....

I can understand seeing a credit report first or a bank statement....but c'mon, Its a freaking BMW, not a Ferrari..........

What a joke!

I went to a Ferrari dealer today and after spending some time on the showroom, asked the manager if he can arrange a test drive of the new F430, a 360, and a challenge stradale that was on the floor. No problem, he said. I came back an hour later for the worderful test drive.

Just stay away from dealers that are stingy!

Wow, that's amazing that a Ferrari dealer did that. That's got to be far and few between....

That's stupid, I can give you a list of dealers willing to sell at list if you're interested let me know.

My dad wanted to buy a VW R32, an unusual car for him but he decided he wanted something "go-cart like to mess around with" they were hard to find in black (only 1000 of 5000 were produced in black) one showed up at the local VW dealer, because someone ordered then bailed on it.

They told him that "this car is very rare" and he "wouldnt be allowed to test drive it" he spoke to the manager, who said the same. My dad explained that he had bout several cars that were substantially more rare and more money (M5, M3 Cab, etc)

About 2 months later the entire staff was fired and replaced.

I'll never understand the drive it without buying it mentality.

On my test drive, the saleswoman took me to a big industrial area and told me to test the turning radius. I told her I didn't give a **** about that - she looked at me sternly (and like i was a retard) and told me to crank the wheel and start doing donuts!

******** BMW guys deserve their ****ty reps. You can buy these cars all day at msrp.

Yeah some BMW reps are the worst. They need to get off their high-horse... Although Porsche dealerships can be just as bad

The service at the dealer close to me is great. The sales dept is another story. They were not receptive when I went there to buy, so I went elsewhere. Thats fine. They don't care so why should I?

We went to check out a turbo and the guy was telling us how tools are in the car and said specifically:
"I don't see why you would need the tools because porsche owner's wouldn't change their own tires, they would call a truck to go do it." (in a condescending tone)

What a loser. Don't see him at stevens creek anymore
