Need a car cover, any suggestions?

Hi

Now that my 911 is no longer a daily driver it sometimes sits for weeks in the garage. After the latest detail and wax yesterday it looks fantastic. But I know it is going to be covered by a layer of dust eventually.

I park the car in my garage and am looking around at covers for it. I called the dealership yesterday and they had 3 kinds, indoor, outdoor and a hybrid indoor/outdoor which was about $100 cheaper. It was the hybrid one the the guy was recommending.

Does anyone have any knowledge of these 3 covers? The dealer will have to order it if I buy from there. Given that my wife is always bumbling around the garage and sometimes puts little marks in my car it might be nice to use a thicker cover.

The Porsche covers were pretty expensive, getting close to $400. Any third party covers that I maybe should be looking at?

Thanks, Derek

I am a big fan of the Coverking covers. I have the Autobody Armor for my car which is overkill since it is garaged. But its nice to have just in case.

The satin one is what you need if it is only for indoor. But if there are any chances it will be used outside, go with the Stormproof. The Autobody Armor is pricey and probably intended for cars that are primarily stored outside.

The Porsche OE outdoor cover is okay but pricey. The indoor one is nice but basically the same as the Coverking one.

I do have a Stormproof one that has been used sparingly inside if you are interested. Just PM me.

The OEM indoor covers are really good. Perhaps look for a used one in the marketplace. Check your PM too.
