Finally I found a solution to listen music

and speak into my iPhone 6, yes, I was looking into an old box with many parts and I find this little gadget that use to work on the late 90´s I grave it put some new batteries and yes, works very good, yes I know sometimes I hear interference but i does the job, and I will keep the originality to my 911 997.1.

I'm guessing it's an FM modulator that plugs into the iPhone, so the original head unit can tune to a specific frequency and listen to the music.

I'm actually more curious about that phone handset option. Very rare and reminiscent of the 90's in a 2000's car.

Yeah, the FM transmitter to get music to the PCM is the technology to use with the optional wired handset of the integrated phone option.

The handsets (and later the bluetooth variants) are a way for passengers to talk (privately or the better clarity) via the phone system - bu that requires the CAR IS THE PHONE option (ie with SIM card in the slot), not the Bluetooth handsfree profile option that uses your phone as the phone.

When I spec'd my 2009MY 997.2 the handset (a bluetooth variety) was an option one could pick. I imagine in the US (where SIM cards, and getting duplicate SIMs from your provider, are not the norm, these hand sets are hardly seen)
