997 coilovers

Already searched this 1000 times no answer

Would a 997.1 rwd coilovers system fit on a 997.1 Awd?

I'm not concerned about spring rates

I think rears fit. Fronts are definitely different. Tarret Engineering has different strut top camber plates for the front, but one style for the rears.

I was thinking possibly the only differences is spring rate. Since it's the same chassis, sleeve ect from rwd to awd

Just check the PET manuals briefly. In stock form the fronts are very different between 2S and 4S, with not a lot of common components. But the rears share a bunch of parts coupe to coupe, cab to cab, including the rear shocks 997.333.053.25 and top mounts 997.333.061.01. Rear springs are different though.

Based on this I would expect 2WD coilovers to fit a 4WD in the rear only, ignoring spring rate differences.

Fronts diagram below (left is 2WD, right is 4WD)

the rear is the same, the front on the other hand

the 4wd drop links connect to the strut
the 2wd drop links connect to the knuckle

it is very different
