Lift kit removed from my C2!!

Got my car back this weekend from the shop. Thanks to Fabryce at GMG. They did a nice job and treated me well.

Here's a "before" pic: '06 997C2 (no PASM) w/18's and Michilin Contact Sports. Might as well slap some stickers in the wheel wells that say "Fabtech":

Here's the car now, lowered with Cargraphic -30mm springs and H&R wheel spacers 7mm front, 14mm rear:

I'm completely satisfied with the amount of drop the springs gave. Just right for me; not too low. Basically it looks like "proper stock ride hight", don't ya think?

Spacing for the fronts turned out good; can't complain too much. But as you can see, there's still alot left to be desired concerning the rear tires and the amount of space left in the wheel well.

I'm either going to have to:
A. Get wider rear spacers

B. Get a wider set of rear tires like 295/40r/18 (do they even make such a tire that size?) (stock=265/40R/18)

C. Go with factory 19's. (I want to stay with factory look)

As for ride quality, I'm surprised that it didn't suffer much. Perhaps on really rough roads I'll notice more, but so far it feels very comfortable still. Yet the handling has tightened up and that's a bonus!

Overall very happy with the decision to lower it; only regret is that I didn't order my car with an additional set of 19" wheels!

Well that's it for now, I'll post some more after I decide on what to do with the rear tire situation.

Looks great Mika, don't change a thing. Car should settle a little lower in the next day or so, that doesn't look like 30 mm yet. 18's are lighter than 19's, good choice actually.

anything over 14mm in the back is scary - go with 19's if you want to lose the wheel gap. In fact, with 19's you will only need 7mm spacers on the back.

Mika,
Car is outstanding. The springs will settle in a few hundred miles. A few coats of Zaino and you have a show car.
Congrats

Doc

Cool You'll NEVER go back to stock

Mika...Mika....Now were talking. It looks sooo 'down' to earth now.. I love it!! I am just really happy for you. You had a long wait, and then to finally mod it feels good. I cant believe like Synergy said the back wheelspacers at 14mm. I have never heard of ones that big, but I am a learning. Great to see the pics.. ENJOY......
