Audio input optoins

Are the only options to play music from my mobile phone (iPhone) through the Aux chord? The USB charges my phone but I can't get it to play. Is that not an option?

What year is your car? Which radio do you have? It sounds like you have a 997.2 with PCM 3.0. I believe the the answer to your question is: "yes".

I have an aftermarket kit from Mobrigde that allows me to stream bluetooth audio. It works well.

I think you'll need to add an aftermarket solution to stream bluetooth audio. I like Mobridge, but there is a cheaper, FM modulated solution called Tranzit Blue that lots of people seem to like.

You need a separate Y-cable that plugs into both the USB and iPod port inside the center armrest. It's about $35 from your Porsche dealer.

Since PCM 3.0 was designed in 2008, that iPod cable uses the old 30-pin iPod connector. If you have a recent iPhone with the Lightning port, you need a 30-pin to Lightning adapter from Apple as well.

This is the cable you are looking for , and as stated by sleepy, you will need an adaptor if you have lightning plug.
