What is the major different of the special colors? Why is it so much more $$$? paint is paint right?...The GT Sliver looks so good, it should be the standard color.

well, paint is paint, but some are more expensive because of the different chemicals involved. I don't know the specifics, but that's my guess.

And if we're talking paint to sample, then the painting process is different than in mass production.

I like GT Silver as well, doesn't have that blue-ish tone of Arctic Silver.

 

Agree on both counts. At one time Speed Yellow was one of the special colors--all depends on what some suit inside of PAG decides to call the $825 optional metallic vs. $3070 special metallic.
