Daily drive a 911 in Colorado?
Specifically the Denver and/or Boulder areas. I'm looking to move out there towards the end of the year and plan to downsize to one car. My thought is that my Audi would be the more practical choice but I have a romantic idea of keeping the 911 long-term, traveling cross-country and driving it around mountain roads.
I've daily-driven my 911 from March through November in Massachusetts and it's been just fine, but I'm unfamiliar with the terrain and climate out there; are there lots of dirt roads to be worried about? Could I manage the winter months with a good set of winter tires, or does it get pretty rough/would I be wise to get a winter beater?
Just looking for some input from anyone who's lived out there, really. Much appreciated!

I have daily driven a 996 C4S coupe and also a 997 turbo cabriolet in the Denver metro area for years. It's absolutely possible. You'll need proper winter tires, as you mentioned above.
It's important to note that CDOT uses copious amounts of gravel on the roads here. As a result, a clear bra is a good idea for a daily driver. Additionally, magnesium chloride is used on the interstate highways during big storms, so it's important that you have a winter car washing regimen to get that nasty stuff off of your vehicle.
Aside from that, a 911 daily driver in Colorado is no different than anywhere else. Deep snow is obviously a problem, but the nice thing about Colorado is that we get 300 days of sunshine every year. Snow doesn't last very long here, like it can out east.
