2007 997 S Passenger Recline does not work
Does anybody have any info on this? Common problem? Took it to an indy shop, they told me the motor and switch had to be replaced and I was better off buying a new seat... Said the motor was jammed. If there is no solution does anybody know a way to at least get the seat in a comfortable upright position? Thank you.
I'm assuming you could take the anchor bolts loose and keep the seat connected to a power source, follow the wires from underneath up to the switch that's not working, disconnect the switch, jumper the wires and test to see if you can get any movement. If the motor is truly jammed or seized, not sure how you'd be able to adjust the position. I had the passenger side recline switch have the little pin that's part of the silver switch break off to where it wouldn't make the contacts in the switch when you moved it. I figured out some way to reconnect the pin and it's been working ever since.
