Do you have a budget? In 2010, I bought a '05 997 C2S Launch Edition (nothing really special about the LE, other than it came with PCCBs - think unsprung weight). I bought the S because I didn't want to regret not buying the S. But if you are looking into a .2 car, the difference in 'seat of the pants' power between the .2 S and non S is not so much on the street. I'd test drive a .1 and .2 in their both respective S and non S versions. From there, you will be able to make up your mind. As someone said earlier, Carreras aren't the fastest in a straight line anyway - a BMW 535d could take a run at you and you'd be surprised . Good luck.
