Wheel Dynamics in CA am I getting scammed??
Wheel Dynamics in CA am I getting scammed??
I sent my calipers for refinishing and talked to Eli prior to shipping them.
Nice guy, everything went well.
They received the calipers and didn't even start on them for a week. Eli promised the turnaround time was 7-10 days, well past that by now.
I called many times to check on the status and got a major runaround. Eli would not answer or return my calls what so ever!
Finally they are done with refinishing and now they want a payment but ONLY by bank wire transfer or Pay Pal "gift" payment. Those options leave me with absolutely zero recourse. At this point I have no clue if I will ever get my calipers back and If I send them a $860 "gift" I may not see that either..
Has anyone had any experience with these guys? I see that they were a vendor on 6speed in the past.
I am so frustrated I can't even describe it

They seem to be hit or miss. I had a bad experience with them in the past on some refinished hood crests (much darker than we had discussed or the photo I sent them of the desired look, bubbles in the tinted clear that was used, and one of the 2 arrived with a broken pin). They said I broke it during installation. If they're willing to take PayPal, offer to pay the extra 3 percent to be able to send a regular PayPal payment. Any honorable seller should not have an issue with that since they will receive the same money.
Another guy had wheels finished 3 times in order to get a finish he was happy with, but not what he was originally looking for or promised. You'd have probably been better off finding a local powder coater to do your calipers.

Anyone doing business like does not deserve to be in business. There are just to many rip-off artists trying to live off the trusting nature of our members. I would see if someone local can go to their shop with the cash and actually put their hands on the parts and if they are as you specified then pay them.
