Thoughts on this 997.1?

What are your thoughts on this car: https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?listingId=461643871&zip=98664 &referrer=%2Fcars-for-sale%2Fsearchresults.xhtml%3Fzip%3D98664%26extColo rsSimple%3DBLACK%252CRED%26startYear%3D2006%26maxM ileage%3D45000%26vehicleStyleCodes%3DCOUPE%26incre mental%3Dall%26endYear%3D2018%26modelCodeList%3D91 1%26makeCodeList%3DPOR%26transmissionCodes%3DMAN%2 6sortBy%3DderivedpriceDESC%26firstRecord%3D0%26sea rchRadius%3D0%26interiorColorsSimple%3DBEIGE%252CB ROWN%252CTAN&startYear=2006&numRecords=25&vehicleS tyleCodes=COUPE&firstRecord=0&endYear=2018&modelCo deList=911&makeCodeList=POR&searchRadius=0&makeCod e1=POR&modelCode1=911

I am looking at replacing my 2006 911S that got wrecked. This car has the sports crono. I knew at what time what all this was but its essentially just a clock right? Appreciate the help, I've been in the F-car world for awhile and need to get back up to speed on my P-Cars

Seems reasonable for the mileage, assuming service was well documented and a low number of owners. I just picked up an 07 997s in guards red with 40k miles and 2 owners and the price was in that ball park.

Although visually sport chrono is the lap timer on the dash, it includes more behind the scenes, increased throttle response in sport mode, and some other stuff. Makes a huge difference in a .2 car with PDK as it changes the speed of the gear changes. Makes a little difference in a .1 MT car. My wife's has it but she rarely pushes the button. On .1 car with PSE and PASM, pressing the Sport button puts both into sport mode and the suspension can be moved back to Normal by pressing the shock button (there is no "muffler tips" button on Sport Chrono cars with PSE exhaust).

Price seems a tad high, but with those low miles, isn't ridiculously high as 997 prices seem to be holding steady or increasing slightly. If the car is spec'd how you like, has a a good DME report, and comes through with a clean PPI, I wouldn't let a few thousand prevent you from getting a car you like that you can start enjoying.

I will second Petza re it's in the ballpark and buy what makes you happy. I bought an 2006 C2S cab with 27k miles almost 2 years ago because it pushed all the right buttons for me. 2 years of happiness with a cool car is priceless. It now has 46k miles and hasn't left the metro Detroit area since I drove it home from New York.

Unfortunately not even close to a clock...but it will give you lap times.

Yes, those are OEM wheels and will accept any of the standard center caps
