New 997 owner with short shift question.

Hi all,
Just bought a 997 that states "sport shifter" on the certificate of authenticity build sheet. Is this the short shifter? or just an improved stock shifter. Doesn't seem so short to me. Sorry if this has been answered but I did some searches to no avail.
Canadian Car if that makes any difference.
Thanks,

Lee

997 does have an option for a factory SSK. Mine had one which I removed and installed a Numeric Shifter and cables....now that's a short shifter! Day and night difference. Not cheap, but check them out.

I'll check that out.
Just feel the 1st gear climbs so qick that a quick shift would be good. above 2nd no issues. Probably just need to get past/used to the 1-2.

Back to my op......maybe I have the QS? Just need to know from the porsche gods if sport shift means short shift.....on the orders

Look for option code:

XCZ Sport Shifter

Here's what you have as part of your build:

Thanks for your reply. I don't have the build sheet or window sticker but rather a certificate of authenticity that states the options and msrp in plain language (not option codes). It is listed as "sport shifter". Best I can tell from measurements of throw on other forums it is indeed the short shifter. Roughly 3" total throw from 1-2 etc.

Thanks.
