What is the best way to get my phone to connect to the audio system? Any ideas?

Mine came with a Dension unit which works fine for me.

I had a Dension Unit which worked fairly well other than getting use to the fact when you get a call, the voice only transmits from the passenger side speaker! I couldn't handle the NAV Unit period not being Satellite and working off DVD's plus no Bluetooth so, I ripped out the stock unit and replaced it with a Pioneer AVIC-8200NEX and am so glad I did!

I happen to have the optional Porsche built in phone in my car and your are correct that the voice only transmits from the passenger side speaker.

I agree that the aftermarket radios are much better. But if you have sport chrono like I do, you will loose the options that are built into the PCM.

Bose?

I just solved this problem on my 06 C2 by adding a MOST HUR and Sony XAV-AX100.

I considered the other options for adding an aftermarket BT unit or phone integration, but ended up replacing the stock unit and am glad I did. The Sony HU made a big difference to make the interior feel a bit more modern and having apple carplay along with a touch screen are big advantages. I also noticed a big improvement in sound quality.

Here's the products I used:

MOST HUR (Fiber optic signal conversion kit for Bose system integration) https://navtv.com/products/NTV-KIT210/most-hur-997.html
