iPhone - iOS 11 - Dension 500SBT issue

For those of you with our Dension 500SBT and iPhones using iOS 11, you may find an issue with bluetooth connecting and disconnecting with your phone.

The issue is iOS 11, and Dension is working with Apple, and Dension's internal software development team is developing a workaround.

If you are experiencing this issue, please turn off phonebook sync'ing, and that should resolve the disconnect. Once new firmware is updated or Apple gets this resolved, we'll post an update.

Back to your regularly scheduled programming...

Good info for the Apple users, though maybe it's a sign they should upgrade to Android. I've paired 4 generations of phones to the Dension with BT in my 997 without any issues

I experienced this issue but before I found this solution I updated the Dension firmware to 0064 and now I cannot pause while playing music. It pauses for a second and then starts playing again.

Does someone have any idea what could be the problem? Is it possible to downgrade again? and in that case, where can I find an older firmware for example 0056 which I had before that worked just fine except that phonebook bug.

It does this on mine as well, had to set the dip switch to a different mode to get it to stay connected
