Honesty does help more often than not... alot of times I get pulled over pretty late at night. At that point they are just looking for drunk drivers and so long as you're sober and honest they'll let ya off the hook... then again I don't drive a sports car so who knows.

definitely, and the trick is--follow me on this, I worked for a judge for several years:

find out who the city Prosecutor is for the neighboring community, then hire that guy to be your defense attorney. The Prosecutor with authority to amend or dismiss your ticket knows he will probably need reciprocal consideration sometime in the future when the attorneys' roles are reversed.

So if you're busted in Raleigh, hire the local prosecutor for Chapel Hill to be your defense attorney in the Raleigh courtroom... (most smaller city prosecutors are part-time positions so they can still have a private law practice and represent defendants in other jurisdictions). I hope I explained this clearly cuz it's effective in minimizing the the impact on your license/insurance..especially dmv points.

That being said, Trundle still has the best idea-- test the limits of the car only on a track.

Leave the speeding for the track. I usually drive the Murcie in the slow lane - more worried about nut jobs jockeying in for a better position to have a look.

I've only been pulled over once. The CHP just wanted a closer look.

Me too. A hardwired V1 and maybe a K40 jammer (used correctly) can help a lot when combined with moderation. It also helps to know the speed traps in your area.

The only real anti-speed devices in this country (Kuwait) are the cameras .. as long as you know where they are (radar/gps), you are pretty much in the clear.

That said .. I still prefer to push the limits on a safe course; one pothole and your gone.
