Has any tuning or race shop ever taken the time to test the major modifications (intake, exhaust, FI, tune, etc) available for 997.1’s?

I keep hearing claims from manufacturers and people who have had them done. I have also heard the claims of people who think they don’t work. Neither post any type of reliable data (i.e. before and after dyno tests not run by manufacturer).

If a shop were to test these systems, mix and match different manufacturers and comes up with reliable data they would quickly become the go to reference.

If any shop is interested I am willing to donate my 997.1 S as a test car. Let me know.

 

I was excited to see some real world 3rd party testing on 997.2 over on the other Porsche forum.. hopefully there will be some data for 997.1 also. The outcome was something I'd have been able to guess, but it was good to see it validated.
