Winter driving

Are you guys using your Pcars during snow conditions? I do want to use my 997.2 GTS through the winter and am not sure what tires to put on the car. I spotted some Pirelli Winter Sottozero Serie II on Tire Rack but that's all.
Any help would be appreciated

Just realize you're going to lower the value of a fairly limited edition car. When the next buyer does a PPI and sees all the rusted hardware underneath, engine carrier, etc they may pass, especially if they're a DIYer like myself. Nothing more frustrating than working on a car where all the fasteners snap of and need extracting.

I used to have a 997 C4S and I used it as my daily driver here in Calgary all year round. Never had an issue, even on the worst snow days! I have a C2S Cab now and I'll drive it in the winter, but I have a Cayenne for the really bad days. I understand what other people say about not driving in winter, but there's no way I could go for months and months without driving it. I'd go crazy!! I think they're meant to be driven!
To your question about the Pirellis, I had them on the C4S and I now have them on the C2S. I'd prefer a set of Nokians, but they don't come in our size

Here in WI we have driven all of our Pcars year-round. Life's too short and winter driving is a blast. Just finished fitting out the Taycan for winter.
Soto's are an excellent tire.
I always have had separate winter fitment (tires/wheels) for ea car.......the on-off of rubber twice a year is no-good long-term for expensive rims.
I so not subscribe to Porsche rear fitment specs (other than correct rolling diameter ratio.....front rear) and go for spaced-out narrower rear fitments that will go better in the snow than 285s or whatever.
Here are pics of the wife's C4S with summer fitment 19s and winter fitment 18s.

I see you have a hard top for your 911. I had one for my 2003 C2 cab which I just traded in for the 997. I did not try to get one for my current car as I think I used the top 4 or 5 times over my ownership of 17 years. I never used the C2 cab in the snow as I had multiple Audis and Panameras. Based on comments here, I think that I will stick with the Taycan for winter use since it's 4WD with all season tires and it is leased.
