Preventative maintenance 997.2
I have a 2010 997.2 C4S Cabriolet and just about to cross 77,777 miles. I am planning on having some preventative maintenance done and have been reading through past posts.
From what I can gather, I should consider replacing the following:
Water pump
Thermostat
Serpentine belt
AOS
I have already replaced all the coils and spark plugs not long ago, so those should be good. The clutch was replaced at 50k so should be good for a while.
Is there anything else I need to consider while the engine is out?

I’m new to the 997.2 as well. From the research I’ve done, the refresh .2 model doesn’t have the water pump failures like the .1. Same for the AOS. Since you have fresh plugs and coils, I would do the belt and all fluids: transmission, brake, coolant to start fresh.

I read a lot before getting my 997.2 C2S and the only thing I was wary about was the high pressure fuel pump. I think they had a recall for the 09-10 models. When I replaced the belts and plugs and took some time to look around the HPFP. Didn't see any leaks or stains but I will keep an eye on it just in case.
Other than that I am just waiting to do the PDK fluid change. That seems like the one thing I like to do for preventative maintance. Some wait 100k or 60k. I will look at doing it at 40k just to be safe.

I have a 2011 C2S and replaced the AOS last year with 22k miles. I guess they haven't entirely solved that problem. It started smoking at start up. I was wondering how accurate the digital oil gauge is. I am now leaving two empty spaces at the top of the gauge as a precaution. At any rate, I would not replace the AOS until you need to.
