for 997, where are you guys putting the V1 and how are you running the cord to which outlet?? thanks.

 

Have mine on the passenger seat plugged in my A/C in the garage

Serious as high up on the windshiled without any obstruction to rear antenna...then do a hard wire

 

On the left side of the rear view mirror tucked under the sunvisor just below the top of the window. Route the hard wire either to the left along the window and tap into the fusebox or route to the right and through the glove box to the 12v outlet in the passenger footwell. The hardwire is a tiny bit short to route all the way to the center cig lighter and look clean.
