911 - 997 - specification , VIN decoding
Hi Guys,
I have opportunity to buy 911 / 997 MR06, but want to make sure what i see is according to the vin spec.
Can anyone tell me where to decode the vin details / or help with decoding.

Guys, anybody?
The car I am talking about is 911-997 carrera s, 2006, with 3824ccm engine.
After checking I found out this car:
- has metalic knocking when engine is running, especially when it gets temperature, when it is cold-started the knocking is not heard, or almost not heard
- shocks need to be replaced, brake pads, brake rotors need to be replaced
- there are leaks from engine and cooling system
What can be the reason of the metalic knocking? Should I run away from this car?
What are the mechanical mtce costs of such car? Is this smth I need to get original from Porsche, or can I get xrefs?
