997 / 997S discount

I'm trying to get an idea of what I might be able to get off a new 997 order (MY 07). If you've bought a new (not used) 997, could you answer a couple of questions?
  1. How much of a discount did you get ($)?
  2. How much of a discount did you get (%)?
  3. What model year did you get?
  4. When did you get it (date)?
  5. Did you order or buy off the lot?
Thanks everyone! I haven't started talking price yet, but I'd like to be armed with more than just Edmunds invoice price before I start shopping around.

BTW - I posed the same question on Rennlist and collected a selection of discounts from a series of threads. I've summarized them below for anyone else shopping:

Some sample discounts ($):
$3k (Washington St.)
$3.5k (Georgia)
$3.5k (Florida)
$4k (Maryland)
$4k (Ohio)
$4k (Louisiana)
$4k - $5k (New York)
$5k (Texas)
$5.5k (Oregon)
$6k (Tennessee)
$6k (Missouri)
$6k (New Jersey)
$2.8k - $7.5k (California)
$7k (DC - launch car)

Some sample discounts (%):
4% (Michigan)
4% - 5% (New York)
5% (Arizona)
6% (Ohio)
6% (Tennessee)
3% - 6.5% (Illinois)
6.5% (Mississippi)
7.4% (Florida)

I agree, but I'm just repeating what I read. There were at least 3-4 entries for CA, running the range (I believe there was a $4k and $5k, and I think the $7.5k was on a C4S cab w/options).

i do remember a lot more discount on the C4S and the non-S. 4-5k certainly possible. but when i asked for 997S, they usually have a completely different discount, or almost none. good luck finding the car. it is a great car and worth every penny of it no matter how much discount you get.
