Did you get banned because of the seats?

It's just a joke!! You're welcome here as far as I'm concerned. Your car looks good bro. What are you doing with the OEM's? I'll make an office chair out of them.

its amazing how lambs get so brainwashed by a manufacturer

Porsche for instance, chromes the headlight washers...did you guys know that?

Not one person has ever said "I wish Porsche didnt do that" never, not once.

For the 993 turbo, Porsche offered a very desirable chrome option on the Twist wheels that was a $3k upcharge MANY MANY took advantage of and there was a brisk aftermarket trade up subculture to get the chrome.

You guys can't be serious when you say PORSCHE knows how to do it in terms of their interior styling cues...

The Porsche interiors are busy, broken, non flowing and in porsches case with color, vastly overdone and over the top.

here is what a red interior should look like thanks to BMW M3 and porsches idea of a red interior.

Now you guys tell me right here and now that porsche has all the answers.

Thank goodness this poor fella spent an extra $300 for carpet color delete otherwise the freaking carpets would also be Can Can Red giving absolutely NO CONTRAST AT ALL, leaving the driver in a virtual "Red Sea" had he left it entirely up to Porsche.

You guys need to KNOW more before you just randomly spout off.

When you pay Porsche over $5K to do a color to sample, they change the color of everything, and I mean everything. It's awful. Then, on top of that, you get charged yet again to start deleting carpets, steeringwheels, under dashes and everything you may not want monotone. Even the two tone (although it looks much better than the alternative) isnt quite right.

here is an example of color to match two tone....

Just to keep you informed....

there are in my opinion many mistakes the Almighty Porsche makes.

1. I think to do the vent grills are a mistake, ugly lines, too much (gaudy)
2. Console should be black to separate the seating
3. Door panels dont flow, should be just the center panel in red, or the line above should be red coming down (upsidedown Nike swoosh) and center panel should be black.
4. door handle shouldnt be red (lost)
5. shifter and boot should be black on a red console, or red on a black console perhaps. (lost)

In order for a contrasting color to stand out, it needs to sit on a neutral canvas. porsche oftern loses site of this grave error.

are you telling me that the factory didnt offer the m3 wheel in chrome?

is that what youre saying?

And as for you C4 for u., your only childish point ever on here has been that I was banned on Rennlist for a few days. Please explain to the board why that was so important for you to say three times if its the facts of the discussion thats so important for you now? Only on your last two opsts to me did you finally refrain from mentioning the ban...was it because none of your fellow members joined your personal witchhunt?

I've followed your interesting posts on this forum and others and while I find your opinions "different" isn't that what makes the world go round? You ask what do we think and some respond they like your tastes and others respond they don't - yet you take great umbrage whenever someone tells you they don't like your colors, etc. Who cares? If you like them that's all that matters. Not everyone is going to agree with chrome, red seats, painted model designators, etc. As many others have noted - to each his own. Keep posting.

The resonse I make alude to when someone says "its wrong" as if Im defaming the porsche moniker.

I am fine with anyone disliking it.

seen these? Guards red leather-to-sample...
http://www.clarin.com/suplementos/au...15/c-00801.htm

IMHO the black interior with the deviated red stitching would look good without the red PCM, handles etc.

The full red leather interior is, uhh....unique. Just too many different elements there.

all e46 M3 comes standard with a dark chrome wheel (18"). they are not shinny chromed as your post would show. but a satin/dark or shadow chrome. i know this for a fact after buying 3 differnt M3s.

There is a difference between “Satin Chrome finish” mentioned in the brochure and chrome plating. On the former you buff the alloy wheel to get the shine; on the latter you plate the wheel with metal to get the shine. BMW gets its “Satin Chrome finish” from polishing, not plating.
i think you missed my point. i am acutally agreeing with you to state that no BMW comes with standard plated chrome.

c4s

I thought it was personal attacks that warrant banning, not having chrome wheels.

When you call my car gaudy and tasteless, that seems to be a personal attack.

I have said nothing to anyone that has said "they woulnt have done it to their car"

As you can see, you have appologized twice so far for attacking without reading first, jumping to conclusions, once even to me.

Therefore I would say that its you that needs to chill and if it means me being banned from this forum as well, Im ok with that becasue if your behaivor is tollerated here, I dont need it.

I have not said one word toward your car good or bad, All I have done is sit here and here you contradict, bash, tattle, etc etc etc....

All I attempted to do was show the guys yet another way to dress up their car, just because you dont like it, dont ruin it for us....ok?

Now just say a simple "OK" and go on with your life.
