I like it as well - but doesn't chrome add a lot of weight?

 

Not bad, But it just needs getting used to

 

Chroming adds very little weight to wheels. People think it turns them into boat anchors, but it adds a pound or less per wheel is all.

 

i prefer polished over chromed

We all have our opinions. Shiny wheels, whether chrome or polished aluminum are a complement to the 997, which has no brightwork. Silver painted wheels, the most prevalent, are marginally acceptable. Black wheels are almost always unattractive, black tire & black rim is just too much. I plan to replace my lobster forks with high polish modulars when the rubber wears out. The outer rim can be repolished or replaced when damaged.

 

Chrome belongs on plumbing fixtures not wheels.

I've concluded from your various abrasive posts that you're a bit of a dumbass. How's that for courage?

I think the chrome looks like crap on a sports car, I like it on some large sedans. Does that make me a sheep? No, at least no more of a sheep than you for following all the previous chrome lovers around.

People have different tastes, get over it. Keep your current attitude up and many here will aquire a distaste for you.

 

my posts have never been abrasive to anyone thats ok with chrome...

Only abrasive to those that happen to, for whatever reason, take chrome personally
