Exhaust Mod
Exhaust Mod
I used to have a 993 and I had the stock cans/mufflers cut open and reworked by a local shop (http://www.hergesheimer.com/). Basically they did what is described here:
http://p-car.com/exhaust/
I was very happy with the sound and performance. I, like many others here, have been debating which aftermarket cans to use to get some better sound out of my 997S.
So that got me thinking, why not just have the stock cans modified like I did on my 993 ? It only cost me $500 and gave the car a great sound. Has anyone else done this or thought about doing it ?

I guess I'll be the first
The way I look at it, the worst that happens if I don't like the way the cans sound after the mod is I go to an aftermarket product and I'm out $500. But, from past experience with these guys, they do superb work.

Crod, either on here or rennlist some modded the stock cans and did a picture by picture review. They ended up putting the modded can up for sale for $300. I do not think they sold them. You might try to find them and see what kind of deal you can work out.
Nice man - thanks...I'll search the boards and see what kind of info was posted. I think I'd rather have Hergesheimers do it for me though, last thing I need is more automotive take offs cluttering up my garage. I still have parts from my 993 in there and the wife keeps *****ing at me to sell the stuff
Nonetheless, thanks for the tip.
