Wheel offset questions

What's the typical offset for a 996TT rims?

How is it compared to a narrow 997 offset?

How much further out will a 996TT rims be on a narrow 997?

well i know that the 18" 996 tt stock turbo twist rims fit perfectly.
I highly doubt any aftermarket wheels made for a wide body will fit though.
the front is the same but the rear is like 25mm or more difference

I just sold a set of 996TT wheels that I had picked up in hopes of using them as track wheels for my 997S.....they stuck out way too far in the rear in my opinion and would have slung gravel all over the back of the car...not good!

The 996TT wheel offsets I believe were 45 front and 50 rear
stock 997S 19" wheel offsets are 57 front and 67 rear

The 996TT wheels stuck out about 3/4" to an inch further than the stock wheels. too much for my taste.

I ended up having some 18's made for autocross / track use. hope that helps.

996tt wheels are:
8x18-50mm front/ 8x11- 45mm rear

997 carrera wheels are:
8x19- 57mm front/ 11x19- 67mm rear

9/32" (7mm) wider per side in the front
15/16" (22mm) wider per side -rear

That's wide...

I was hoping I could do a camber to make it fit like my previous car (350Z offset wheels fitted into an RX8), but I don't think it'll look good on a 997... oh well...
