Rough idle on start

Some mornings when I start the car; it starts to idle at 1100rpm .. I switch it off and start it again, then it idles at 750-800rpm.

Any idea what could be causing this? Sometimes, I also getting a slight hesitation in the lower rpms in first gear (its a tip).

Thanks.

Mine idles loudly at 1100 or so rpm at first start of the day. It's programed to do this and also the air oump is running. It's normal and will idle down in a few minutes or when you drive off.

It's the fastest way to warm up the cats and reduce emissions. Idle will fall once the cats are hot. It's why the instruction book says "don't warm up the car by idling it - just drive it" - you get to operating temperatures faster driving it.
