Both new additions will be great. However, I am not willing to buy the first generation DSG of any car maker.

they can keep the DSG. IMHO, a Porsche should be a 6-spd, period.

08 may be a short model year and the facelifted version would then be an early 09.

Direct injection is good news. And so is the DSG (I guess). They need to bump the Carreras up a bit power wise.

Can anyone else reaffirm this?

Are these revisions going to be for the 2008 MY or 2009? I was under the impression these changes would be for MY 2009, for which the updated 997's would be hitting the streets late summer/fall of 2008...

Until someone with a Tip or the upcomming DSG passes you on the track!

Seriously, have any of you ever thought that some people might need a Tip or DSG style of transmission to be able to enjoy this car? You do not see me or others putting down your choice.
