supercharger....

in the real near feature i am about to purchase a supercharger for my 997 S. i read in a previous thread that somebody with a supercharger made either 520 or 540 hp with a smaller pulley. please post back and let me know the numbers (power) and also the extra work that was done to make that power. also does anybody have the speedart twin turbo kit on their 997???
thanks

i'm not sure who it was, but it's no big secret. just have the pulley machined a little bit. a bit riskey if you ask me. my car is running a little bit rich, but i prefer to be on the safe side. i see about 5 psi when it's hot and almost 6psi when it dips in the 50's. i'm not sure it would be worth the mechanical risk to be that close to the line for an extra 20 or so hp. i'm seeing about 500 crank hp with my 3.6 and headers.

I'll bet Mike Wier and Sergio Garcia know quite a bit about supercharging high-compression N/A German cars.

The EVOMS kit for the 997S, with exhaust, makes around 520-530 crank hp stock, at only 4.5 lbs. It's pretty fast. I would get it installed stock first, and then if you want to trade off some reliability for more power, you could get a new or modified pulley. But keep in mind you may well need new chip programming as well, and possibly new injectors depending on how high you go. But if 520 is your goal, you will like the stock EVO kit just fine!
