I have pretty well decided I am going to order a new 997S instead of look for a used one. Panorama reports that the 08s will have direct injection and a dual clutch option. Not sure about the DSG but very interested in having direct injection.

Can anyone tell me when the 08s will start to be produced? And when would you be able to put an order in for one?

All conjecture. Some say this year, Sept, for the changes. Others say the changes will be in 99 model year. The dealers don't or won't say because a change will kill or hurt current year sales. I say Sept this year. Here you go....

To me if they are going to introduce at Frankfurt this autumn, then production will begin this autumn as well...that is my hope anyway
