Shifter ZR 3 remote sensor

For those who have installed the ZR 3 passport front and rear detector, with the single LED light, how do you know if the radar is from the front or rear? thanks

The SR3 doesn't have the ability to notify by direction. It is however very accurate. You just have to obvoiously slow down. I have installed the SR3 with the SR7 on on all three of my vehciles. The combination of the SR3 and SR7 works great.

I currently have a K40 front and rear detecters on my 996 and have just ordered a 997 . I am debating what to install, I find the front and rear separate LED's very useful. Nice to know where the radar is coming from. Does any passport remote system allow this?

zr3 laser shifter

I just installed a zr3. I put all three heads up front- there are precious few rear shots of laser, and if you get one, chances are your detector will pick up someone in front of you getting hit, and give you time to slow down. If not, oh well .

I do know that the more heads you have blinding the laser, the better your chances are on a frontal shot. The ZR3 puts the two front heads out by the headlights. Tests on Guys of Lidar and other sites show long range punch through on the license plate with this setup, which you can avoid by putting all three jammer heads up front.

If tied in with an Escort 8500 -9500, i think the Zr3 will tell you which shifter head is active. I don't know that just yet, but do know that with the BelRX75, which is comparable to the SR7, it does tell you.
