so you are higher by 2 lbs than the door sticker?!?!?!? that would be running 46lbs of air pressure in the rear! Max pressure is 50lbs and you might run into a serious problem if you drive hard and heat them up. Plus you will wear out the center of the tire fast and I bet that rear end is like driving on slicks in the wet.

Doesnt each brand of tire need different pressures for optimal performance?

What are the reccomended numbers in the manual?

Seriously..... I have never seen a car with such a wide difference between pressure recommended on the door sticker and the manual. The manual shows pressures for normal and heavy loads..

Technically, the door sticker is supposed to be gospel as the mass printed manual may not be as up to date as the car/tire production. The door sticker is supposed to be the most accurate and visible for safety. But the door sticker pressures are ONLY for a fully loaded car. I usually see a door sticker that shows two pressures: normal and fully loaded. That is why the door sticker is there as required by law.

Confusing? YES
Pressures slanted to protect against oversteer? I suspect so..

Reasonable to ask questions? Yes..
