When I had my lower lip painted on my 996 I had a clear bra put on it. It saved the paint and lasted pretty long until the entire lip came off.

DJ,
I was thinking the same thing. Although pricey right now, that would be very unique.

Thanks guys for the comments...for those who asked, yes those are the TechArt rockers. The GT3 bumper fitment is a simple bolt on job and supposedly took the folks at BodyStyle about 45 mins to mount.

And yes, I am nervous about the lip and plan to get the clear bra installed ASAP by our friend Sam. If it gets too scratched I will default back to the non-painted black lip and see how that works. Now that I dropped the car I cannot go back to OEM height

Thanks Alex for the tips....we can throw those on with my Plenum in a few weeks when I get back from Europe.

very nice...yes you are going to mess up that lip. dont clear bra it, trust me its going to get scratched and the bra will come off. Just drive it till it looks like crap and then get the GT3 OEM lip spoiler, unpainted. they are only about 100 dollars and you can actually install yourself if you are motivated.
