Let a friend drive my car tonight. - Happy ending don't worry...

A cool guy lives up the street from me and he's totally into cars. Tonight he stopped by and asked for a ride. I've driven with him before and he's an excellent driver. I tossed him the keys and sat down in the passenger seat. It was fun to get the Porsche experience from the "other side". The car feels so solid and has such refined handling. It's totally noticable even when your sitting shotgun. Needless to say, he was impressed by the overall package, but made special mention to the interior, which I agree is a bump up from the 996.

Hope you guys are having a nice weekend. Drive your 911's boys.

I actually prefer the cheapo 996 interior with the 997 exterior styling!

Less distractions on my 996 compared to the 997, granted I love the way the 997 looks inside and out, I just prefer my 996, makes me focus on the road and pushing her

No offense taken, while 997 interior is a bump up, I wish they'd improved the 996 interior not change it completely and make it like a Lexus. Fit and finish on the 997 is defintely way better.

Glad you had a happy ending! I've got 2900 miles on mine. Lately I've been tempted to let a couple of my good friends take the keys. They're not real car enthusiasts so I know they wouldn't go wild. For them it would just be the thrill of getting behind the wheel.
