I planned on keeping my 997TT when I got the GT3 RS. After driving the RS almost 1000 miles in a week to break her in I took a drive in the turbo. YUK! It felt soo heavy and that sweet screaming sound from the GT3 made the turbo sound awfull. Traded the turbo in for a C2s a few weeks later. If you could drive them side by side, and under full power/twisties you would pick the GT3, no contest.

Give it a few more weeks and then tell us what you think. I know the fun factor on the GT3 series is off the scale compared to the Turbo but keep in mind that Porsche builds the Turbo for a different audience. It has to be a daily driver, its has to feel comfortable, it has to feel and look luxurious, it has to have a ton of torque to pull all the extra pounds around, it has to have all wheel drive (again catering to its audience ie: snow, ice, rain, winter daily driving), the turbo's rear is historically wider with the "bling" factor going on. Porsche's "baby" is "the turbo" and it puts extra care in its fit and finish. The GT3 RS is very specific in what it cries out for..."the track". Most people would not be comfortable driving a GT3 RS day in and day out using it for commuting in heavy stop and go traffic or during bad weather. Then there is the back seat issue and ground clearance if you live in a city. Now, with that being said, the Turbo is an awesome car but it feels too nervous at the limit and Porsche needs to address these issues. Ive had my car aligned 2 times with 2000 miles on it. it feels better but I am not convinced that it can't improve further. The new all wheel drive set up might be the culprit, or it might be the adjustable this or that, but the car is not quite 100% and Porsche needs to step back and figure out how to make it right. The GT3 (RS) is the ultimate "Raw" performer and it must feel very direct and precise but I still love my turbo because I know that with a few tweeks here and there it will live up to its name once again. JMO.
