Aftermarket non-OEM wheels for 997

Hello,

Has anyone had any experience purchasing and/or using non OEM wheels on their 997? Reason I ask is that I am looking to pull the trigger on a '05 997, but it has the 18" Carrera III wheels - looking for 19" Sport Designs, but they are hard to come by.

Any thoughts?

Enrique

If I was buying non-OEM wheels I would make sure the brand is very reputable such as BBS, Kenisis, OZ, Champion. I would make sure the aftermarket wheel were as light or actually lighter than OEM for performance value. Most of these aftermarket wheels (no name brand never heard of before) on EBay are not even the correct width for the rears!

Check Craigslist under Phoenix in the Porsche parts section. There is a set of new factory sport design wheels off a 2006 C4S for $575 without tires.
