Pulled the trigger on a new 997s, did I get a good deal!

So after longing for a 911 for a few years now, I finally pulled the trigger and will be picking it up on Sat. The only thing that bothers me is that it's an '07 and the '08 should be here soon should I wait? Any way, the 997s is Guards red over black, options include sport chrono, floor mats, nav, self dimming mirrors, power and heated seats, bose high end sound, and clear bra. I'm paying $85k for the car. Do you think its a good deal? The car stickered for 89k not including the the clear bra which they say dealers cost is $1000. Thanks for any input you can provide.

'08 is supposed to have a slightly revised front and rear fascia with LED taillights. With only a $4k discount, I would wait for an '08.

If you have the money and you like the car it dosen't really matter. I'm in the car business and I got 4k off my 06. I'm ok with someone making some profit because thats how people make a living. My biggest concearn when I buy a car is how the salesperson treats me and the service of the Dealership. I would rather pay more and have a great experience. thats just my opinion.

08 are 100% identical except for price increase and some different colors. Look for early 09 to see an update ; ) The deal is fair. You can PM whoever but the deal is fair not unbelivable but its fair. As long as your happy and had a great experience : )

Question Im confused and maybe ripped off?

I just ordered what I thought was a '08 911 4S Cab. Production date is scheduled for Nov for a late Dec delivery. Reading some of these posts it sounds like a "new' '08 will have slight modifications first part of 2008. Am I missing something here?

Also best price I could find was 1500 off MSRP, did I get ripped off? Other local dealer wouldnt give any discount.

When people start asking these questions its all market dependent guys... For example the 997tt cab is going for 30-40k over sticker in the southern states... up north people are getting 10-20 over..
Same goes for other cars if they are in high demand they wont mark it down etc etc..

good luck

sorry to say, I have stock in the Brooklyn Bridge, are you interested. If you go for 2008 I believe there is almost a 3% price increase check the official porsche site.

Check edmunds .com for the price of a used 2006 vs. 2007 and you'll know how much you'll lose when you take delivery.

Congrats on the car. The description of it sounds very familiar, was your dealer Ray Catena in Edison? If you're local on Staten Island, there's a weekly informal car meet in the main parking lot of Great Kills Park on Sunday mornings.

Sorry same exact car. Unless they make a 2008.5 looks like 09 will have the facelift and the DFI. I know this for sure because Ive seen 3 08's now. Same thing.

There are some new "S" cars on ebay with MSRP's of low $90k's with $7K discounts. If you're happy with the deal then that's all that matters.
