Oh, forgot to add that my local Porsche dealer sold me the tire for the same price as Tire Rack. They didn't make anything on it.

Kuwait is in a similar conundrum .. the (exclusive) pirelli store is owned by the same company as the (exclusive) Porsche dealer.

And they have told me that they will not warranty any transmission issues due to my rims/tires (F110 + Nspec PS2).

Probably not .. I would definitely switch to the stocks for any warranty claims

yep, I think so too, most dealerships can tend to get real wicked about fixing things. I've definately had my bad experiences trying to get things covered on my old 996c4s cab by dealerships and pcna in the past years. don't want to do that again. ohhh no.

Drums I can't believe you still haven't found tires.... I have been following your quest on multiple forums for months now LOL... pull the trigger on the 888s!

B-MoreBroker, street tires is what I am after...the 888's are R compound and will not work well here in rainy Florida nor last long on the street. I am after either the Bridgestones or the PS2's. I prefer the Bridgestones due to cost though as they are $600 less.

My dealer called me and the Pirelli Rosso's are now available however, I have read and talked to people with issues with these tires. My dealer agrees too they are not all that great with wear and road noise. Plus they are now being phased out so I don't want those. So today after spending much time on the phone with my dealer calling PCNA and Tire Rack mulitpule times Tire Rack has released some PS2 to me.

The Bridgestone RE050A 235-35-19's are still not in the USA and nobody can confirm fi they ever will be. The Pirelli PZero Rosso and the Michelin Pilot Sport 2 are the only N spec Porsche rated tire you can get and the Michelins are on HOLD except to a dealer on an emergency PO.

My suggestion to those of you with 19" wheels is to go ahead right now and buy tires for it. Because if you wait you will not be able to get them when you need them. Also I have called everyone and Tire Rack has the best prices bar none. Most dealers will not match Tire Rack prices but you can only get N spec Porche tires from the dealer so you are stuck! My dealer is matching the Tire Rack price! They are also a 6speed sponsor...please give a huge shout out and send your business to Suncoast Porsche!!!!

FWIW - it appears that the Bridgestone RE050A is now in stock at Tire Rack. I just ordered a set last night.

Today I bought a pair of rear 305/30-19 PS2's from my dealer, at Tire Rack price; they had only three. I bought the fronts last week, so now I have a set. Guess I'm lucky to have a dealer that sells at the TR price. Can't believe I said that, "lucky" to be buying $500 tires! I guess I'll buy a set of 18" wheels for track use which, IMO, is the better size anyway. Good luck with the Bridgestone. It should be okay for general street use, but I'm afraid you will find it disappointing in comparison.

The Bridgestone RE050A fronts Porsche (N spec) are still out of stock at Tire Rack till the end of Septmeber. So Suncoast Porsceh matched up the Tire Rack price and I went ahead and got the Michelin PS2's again. They were installed today. Tire Rack and Porsche have a hold on the Michelin's and will only sell through a Porsche dealer.

just stick to the same brand and model tire (same tread pattern). I went one size larger - as long as you keep overall tire diameter the same and go with same tread pattern and tread rating (soft or hard compound ) front and rear

I am running 245/35/19 front and 305/30/19 rear Bridgestone E050's

Ferris,

What were you riding on before? What do you think of the Bridgestone's? Noise, ride, performance?
