An '06 with 8-10K miles on it?..............absolutely for $60-62K. Like I said, it took me nearly 2 months to sell my '07 (loaded with 2LZ pkg) in October for $63.5K with 3k miles on it and the car was absolutely spotless...never tracked and not even a stone chip!!

If i had my car sold back then , i would buy it
But now i just sold my Supra, so im going to the US soon and bringing back a C6Z06...
So from a dealership in Jan/Feb, its possible to get it for $60-62k even if its priced at $64 ?
I know they are probebly cheaper from Privat, but dealership might be harder ?

Any good arguing points to get it cheaper?
Not sure how it works in the states....hehe

Thanks

Here is one still for sale right now. Does not have Nav but only 9,600 miles for $57.5K.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1795904

Another one with 2,900 miles and 2LZ silver in color

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1869619

Look on this website under C6's for sale (includes Z06s). You will have no problem whatsoever picking up a clean '06 for $60K. Trust me. Brand new '08s are already discounted $8K off MSRP.

Good luck buddy.

As far as performance level, you cannot beat it for what it's worth..
It's a great car.. I sold my '06 for $60K sunset orange only a little over 300 made in that color.. Regular 997 or S is not in the same level.. you have to be comparing this car with a 997TT or a tuned 996TT, it's that fast..
I'm a big Porsche guy and I truly like what they did with the new vettes..

Thanks for the tip man, but i can only buy from a Dealership , and that has been preowned....much easier for me.
And has to be close to the boat thats taking it to sweden

So its little off...but i guess i can still get a good price at a dealership...
Lets hope so
Can hardly wait till i own one...

True Alex. The stock 997 and 997S are not on the same level performance wise but the 997(s) are far better cars from every other standpoint in my opinion. Down the road when I have all my house projects taken care of and the bank account built back up, I see a 997 in my future that looks like this......and Supercharged .

The Z06 performance wise would destroy a 997s no matter what you do to it! I was at the track with my Z06 last week at a 6speed get together and to be honest with you the Z06 would destroy the 997TT or 996TT unless they are modded and even then they would have their hands full! The car is bone stock and ran 11.2 on the stock tires and ran 11.00 with drag radials. The Z is not as refined as my Porsche as far as interior finish goes (but they don't make you pay for that!) but it is good quality! and is much quieter inside than my GT2 or my GT3 was as far as squeaks and noises go, but that could be the racecar nature of the Porsche models I own. It also doesn't have the (Snob Appeal) MANY Porsche owners are seeking, and if thats you? it might not be the car for you! If you don't care about that, it is a great car at a great price! It is also an awesome looking car IMO! You can buy a new 08 Z06 for about 8k off msrp if you go on ebay and look, try Les Stanford in Michigan for the best deal! Also resale with low miles should be better than the Porsche or the MB, the car will still bring in the 50's then IMO, as the low mileage 03 Z06's still bring mid to high 30's and you could buy those cars new for low 40's. I have a GT2 and I am familiar with their prices and my car new was almost 200k now 5 years later with just 3500 miles and brand new condition it would probably bring 110k or less so do the math!

a saleen killing a z06.

I ran against a new bodystyle z06 in my saleen extreme on highway from a roll and I was just an edge faster.

My only issue is with vettes every old guy out here in AZ has one. I feel I need to wear a tommy bahama shirt, have grey hair, and a glove box full of viagra

If you do enough mods to anything it will be faster than a stock car and obviously the Saleen was modded in the video as it is stated on the site. A freind of mine has a Saleen Xtreme and the car ran 12's stock and is running in the 11's with a few mods, supercharger, intake, exhaust and tires.
The Z06 in stock form would destroy the Extreme stock or modified! The only way the mustang is going around a Z06 is to highly modify it and hope for a ****ty driver in the vette! I think you have that backwards about the viagra though, Z06 drivers don't need it as the Z will give you one by itself, now with the mustang I think you might need it!

I've got an 07' Z.

I do agree with the comments re being able to use the power effectively and/or anywhere near legal on the street. By the time you hit the top of 3rd, you're over 125 and it just keeps pulling. Unless you live WAY out in the middle of nowhere, you're playing with fire.

The Z offers a lot of 'luxury' features - heated seats/HUD/DVD Nav and good comfort, but the general interior (of the 2LZ) isn't in the same ballpark as the current 911's.

Deals abound now on both 07's and 08's.

As Jamie indicated, it's a ridiculously quick car and will walk nearly everything (stock). While it's very easy to drive at 'normal' speeds, I do tend to think I'm wasting most of the car's potential a lot of the time.

I'd steer the OP to a 2/4S or a TT for a very quick, but perhaps less mental experience if you're going to use it as a daily and/or touring car.

FWIW - I'm keeping mine

out of box the saleen extreme can hold its own.

the 4.10 gearing is great

I bought the extreme over the vette z06 as every other car in scottsdale is vette (yes a know a saleen is still a stang and there is more stangs then vettes) but I never see saleens around in az or so cal. and I am in my 20s. I am too young to drive a vette!

I now want a GS maserati more then anything now! I change cars way to often!

or waiting for nissan gt-r to hit shores
